Working Principle
Electric heat. Resistance elements run up and down the sidewalls. They glow, they radiate, and with some convection from circulation fans, the heat spreads evenly around the workpiece.
You hang the part vertically inside the pit. Close the lid. Run your cycle. The intelligent control system manages the ramp up, the soak, and the cool down. Rated temperature is 750°C – that's plenty for annealing, normalizing, and tempering on rotor steels.
The vertical orientation is the key. No sagging. No bending. The part comes out straight. Dimensional accuracy stays where it should be.

Features
- Vertical structure prevents bending. This is the whole reason to buy a pit furnace for long shafts. A 7 meter rotor in a horizontal furnace will drop maybe 10 to 15 mm in the middle from its own weight. That's scrap. In a pit-type resistance furnace, it hangs straight.
- Even temperature. We spec within plus or minus 5°C across the whole length and cross section. On a 7 meter deep pit, that's not easy. But with good element placement and a strong circulation fan, we get it done.
- Big capacity. Chamber size is 4 meters in diameter by 7 meters deep. Load capacity is 80 tons. That'll take the largest power station rotors and rolling rolls.
- Intelligent control. Multi-stage PID. You can store multiple process curves. Annealing for one material, tempering for another. The operator just calls up the right recipe.
- Reliable structure. Heavy steel shell. Good refractory lining. This thing runs for weeks at a time. No downtime.
- Safety. Lid interlock, over-temperature alarm, leakage protection. Standard but important.

Equipment Structure
- Pit body. Vertical cylindrical steel shell. Multi-layer refractory insulation inside. Holds the heat in. The shell doesn't get crazy hot on the outside – maybe 60 to 70°C.
