Crucible Resistance Furnace

Crucible resistance furnace is a batch furnace. Load it, run it, unload it, then do the next one. You'll find these things in factories, research labs, and testing shops. People use them for firing ceramics, melting metals, doing chemical analysis, and small-scale heat treatment. If you need to quench a few small steel parts or run an elemental analysis, this size is usually about right.

Danyang Dingfeng Industrial Furnace Co., Ltd. is one of the most reliable manufacturers and suppliers of crucible resistance furnace in China. If you're going to wholesale durable crucible resistance furnace made in China, welcome to get pricelist from our factory. All customized products are with high quality and low price.

Product Definition

Crucible resistance furnace is a batch furnace. Load it, run it, unload it, then do the next one. You'll find these things in factories, research labs, and testing shops. People use them for firing ceramics, melting metals, doing chemical analysis, and small-scale heat treatment. If you need to quench a few small steel parts or run an elemental analysis, this size is usually about right.

The shell is cylindrical, welded from decent steel plate. Nothing fancy. Inside, the lining is either silicon carbide or lightweight high-alumina refractory, depending on what you order. The heating elements are alloy wire embedded right into that lining. The door hinges on the front – simple to open and close, no complicated mechanisms.

Working temperature goes up to 1100°C, and the max design temp is 1200°C. That's plenty hot for small parts and lab work.

Working Principle

Every high temp furnace needs a controller, and this one uses a thermocouple to read the temperature. The PID controller decides when to turn the power on and off – that's how it holds the temperature steady.

The control box also has some protection circuits. Over-temperature, electric leakage, overload, thermocouple failure – if something goes wrong, it either shuts down or sets off an alarm. I've seen these safeties save a few furnaces over the years.

Features

  • Heating is resistance type, so it's pretty efficient. Heat transfers to the crucible without a lot of loss, and the insulation keeps most of it inside the chamber instead of warming up your shop.
  • The PID controller holds temperature well – no big swings. That means your metal quality stays consistent and you don't get excess oxidation from overheating.
  • No combustion, no smoke, no burner noise. Just the hum of the contactors. Some of my customers appreciate that – especially the ones running furnaces inside their main shop area.
  • The footprint is small. You can stick one in a corner without losing much floor space. Good for labs, small shops, and pilot lines.
  • Loading and unloading is straightforward. If you get the tilting version, you can pour molten metal out safely without lifting a heavy crucible.

Applications

These crucible resistance furnace show up in labs for chemical analysis, and in metallurgy and ceramics shops for firing and melting. You put your material in the crucible, the furnace heats it up, and you get sintering, melting, or whatever process you're after.
