Oil-fired Hood Furnace

Oil-fired hood furnace is a batch furnace – runs on liquid fuel. Diesel, heavy oil, light oil – whatever you've got. The design has a movable bell shaped hood that holds the oil burners, and a stationary base where you stack your workpieces. You see these in heavy industries for large scale annealing, normalizing, and stress relieving. Metal coils, castings, forgings – big stuff.

Danyang Dingfeng Industrial Furnace Co., Ltd. is one of the most reliable manufacturers and suppliers of oil-fired hood furnace in China. If you're going to wholesale durable oil-fired hood furnace made in China, welcome to get pricelist from our factory. All customized products are with high quality and low price.

Working Principle

You stack your workpieces on the base. Then cover them with a sealed inner cover. That inner cover creates a protective atmosphere chamber – keeps the oxygen out so your parts don't scale.

Then you lower the oil-fired hood over the inner cover. The burners fire. They shoot into radiant tubes or directly into the combustion chamber that surrounds the inner cover. The hot flue gases heat the inner cover wall. That heat transfers to the workpieces – radiation plus convection.

Inside the inner cover, there's a circulation fan. That fan moves the hot air around so the temperature is even throughout the whole load. Without that fan, you'd have hot spots.

Features

Oil-fired heating

The burners are stable and put out a lot of heat. Enough for industrial scale work.

Hood type structure

The hood moves. You lift it off, load or unload, put it back down. Good for batch operations.

Even temperature

The circulation system does its job. Consistent heat across the whole chamber.

Good efficiency

The burners and insulation are designed to waste less fuel. You still burn oil – it's not as cheap as gas – but you're not burning more than you have to.

Large batch capacity

This is for heavy duty, large scale production. Not for small shops.

Precise control

PLC or PID systems. You can program your cycles. The furnace follows the curve.

Applications

The Oil-fired hood furnace is widely used in many fields, including:

Steel and metal rolling mills

Annealing cold rolled steel coils, stainless steel strips, copper coils. Especially in places where oil is abundant and gas isn't.

Heavy forging and casting

Normalizing and stress relieving large castings and forgings. Parts that need deep heat penetration – thick sections.

Automotive and machinery

Large batches of automotive components and structural steel parts.
Pipe and tube manufacturing. Annealing large diameter welded or seamless pipes.

Energy and petrochemical

Heat treating heavy components for oil rigs, pipelines, pressure vessels.
