Sealed water cooling fan is for places where a regular fan would die. High heat, dust, corrosive fumes – that kind of environment. It has a sealed housing and a water jacket around the motor. Water runs through the jacket, pulls the heat out, keeps the bearings alive.

Working Principle

 

Two things protect this sealed Water Cooling Fan.

 

First, the water cooling system. Cold water circulates through a jacket around the motor housing. The water pulls heat away from the windings and bearings. Even if the air around the fan is scorching hot – say 80°C or more – the motor stays cool enough to run continuously.

 

Second, the sealed design. Gaskets, O-rings, shaft seals – everything is sealed. Dust doesn't get in. Moisture doesn't get in. Corrosive gases stay out.

• Handles high ambient heat. The water jacket keeps the motor running steady when the surrounding air is above 60°C. We've had fans running at 90°C ambient for years without failure.
• Sealed against contaminants. Dust, vapor, corrosive chemicals – the motor is protected. A regular fan in a cement plant will fill with dust and seize in six months. This one lasts for years.
