High Temperature Fiber

High temperature fibers are specialty fibers that keep their strength and shape above 200°C. Not many materials do that. They resist heat, hold their dimensions, and don't corrode easily.
They're made through solution polycondensation and spinning. A typical example is polycrystalline mullite fiber. It can handle oxidizing atmospheres up to 1600°C. You'll find these fibers in silicon carbide furnaces, steel reheating furnaces, and other high-temperature equipment.

Danyang Dingfeng Industrial Furnace Co., Ltd. is one of the most reliable manufacturers and suppliers of high temperature fiber in China. If you're going to wholesale durable high temperature fiber made in China, welcome to get pricelist from our factory. All customized products are with high quality and low price.

Product Definition

High temperature fibers are specialty fibers that keep their strength and shape above 200°C. Not many materials do that. They resist heat, hold their dimensions, and don't corrode easily.

They're made through solution polycondensation and spinning. A typical example is polycrystalline mullite fiber. It can handle oxidizing atmospheres up to 1600°C. You'll find these fibers in silicon carbide furnaces, steel reheating furnaces, and other high-temperature equipment.

Fiber

Working Principle

The fiber mat traps tiny pockets of still air. Air is a poor conductor, so this structure cuts down heat transfer by conduction and convection.

The light color and fibrous texture also affect radiant heat. The fiber reflects some radiant heat back toward the furnace center, and it re-radiates absorbed energy from its surface. This helps keep heat where it belongs – in the furnace chamber, not escaping through the shell.

Features

High melting and softening point

The fiber doesn't melt or deform at extreme temperatures. Mullite fiber survives at 1600°C while steel would be liquid.

Dimensional stability

It stays the same size when hot. You can build insulation linings that don't shrink or crack.

Durability

After long service above 200°C, the fiber still works. It doesn't degrade quickly. A ceramic fiber lining in a forging furnace can last five years or more.

Chemical resistance

It resists hydrolysis and many chemicals. That's why labs and aerospace shops use it.

Applications

Aerospace

Lightweight carbon composites handle extreme heat, cut weight, improve flight efficiency. Every kilo saved matters.

Industrial furnaces

Insulation fabrics save energy and keep furnace operation steady. A 3-inch fiber blanket can replace 9 inches of firebrick.

Power generation

Thermal insulation for nuclear plants, gas turbines, solar facilities. The high temperature fiber doesn't conduct heat and doesn't burn.

Fire protection

Fireproof materials protect people and equipment in hot work zones.

Electronics

Insulating fiber keeps heat from damaging sensitive components.

Applications

Dingfeng Industrial Furnace. We build to your needs.

  • Ceramic fiber blanket – flexible, for wrapping or lining
  • Ceramic fiber board – rigid, for structural insulation
  • Ceramic fiber module – folded blanket, pre-anchored for furnace walls
  • Zirconia fiber products – higher temperature rating
  • Polycrystalline fiber modules – very high purity, low shrinkage
  • Custom cut insulation components – to fit odd shapes
  • Anchoring systems – for installing fiber linings
