Safety Precautions For Electric Resistance Furnaces
Apr 09, 2026
Safety awareness must be maintained throughout the entire operation of the resistance furnace. Ensure reliable grounding of the power supply to prevent leakage or electric shock. Before operation, check the power cord, switch, and heating elements for damage; replace any damaged or aged components immediately. Never store flammable or explosive materials around the furnace; keep the operating environment dry and well-ventilated.
During operation, avoid direct contact with the high-temperature furnace chamber or heating elements to prevent burns. Operators should wear insulated gloves and safety glasses, and use furnace tongs or specialized tools for loading and unloading materials. Do not open the furnace door or change the furnace temperature setting arbitrarily to prevent sudden heat loss and accidents.
When shutting down or performing maintenance, disconnect the power supply and allow the furnace to cool completely. Regularly check the condition of the heating elements, temperature control system, and insulation materials to ensure they are functioning properly. In case of any abnormalities, such as excessively high temperature, abnormal smoke, or damaged heating elements, immediately stop use and contact a professional to prevent accidents.
